What is the market price of red sandalwood?
Quick answerThere is no single price, value is driven by grade, heartwood content, log dimension and quality, and is realised through regulated auctions. Current figures should be read from primary sources such as the Andhra Pradesh Forest Department’s auction results, not from marketing pages.
Red sandalwood is not a flat-rate commodity: higher grades, greater heartwood content and larger, better-quality logs command materially higher value.
