Why start here
Corporate verification is the floor, not the ceiling. It won’t prove a plantation is good, but it confirms the company legally exists, is active, and matches what you were told, and it exposes obvious problems early.
What you can check
- That the company is registered, with its CIN and incorporation date.
- Its current status (active / struck off / under process).
- The registered office and the directors on record.
- Whether annual filings appear up to date.
How to do it
On the official MCA portal, use the “view company/LLP master data” and related services to look up the company by name or CIN. Cross-check the CIN, directors and registered address against what the operator has told you. Verify GST separately on the government GST portal.
Then keep going
